Lepyoshka is the traditional bread in Uzbekistan.

I am a Korean, who was born and raised in Uzbekistan, but my native language is Russian. This braided bread is said to be similar to Europen egg-twist breads (which, from my experience, are all amazing).

( Log Out /  I was not the only one in our family who missed this bread, so my mom decided to try to make homemade lepyoshka for the first time. Lepyoshka is my favorite bread. The Non from the “rayons” (regions) is much simpler and often drier, but are made with cream and butter for special occasions.

That email doesn't look right. The two most commonly used breads I came across were the Patir and the Obi Non. These are baked in special earthen ovens called “Tandirs”, not unlike the Tandoors we have in India (or Pakistan).
