But, shortly after take-off, Marks starts receiving a series of anonymous text messages from an unseen adversary who is threatening him that, unless $150 million is deposited in a special off-shore account, one passenger on the plane will die every twenty minutes.
Then all hell breaks loose as Marks (Neeson) starts getting threat texts on his special air marshal smartphone thingy. An air marshal springs into action during a transatlantic flight after receiving a series of text messages demanding $150 million into an off-shore account, or someone will die every 20 minutes. I felt quite uneasy during the run time, I found myself really wanting Neeson's character to just explain from the start what has happened. Director Jaume Collet-Serra and veteran producer Joel Silver ("The Matrix" franchise, "Die Hard" and "Die Hard 2"), who both previously teamed with Neeson on 2011’s "Unknown", happily settle for economy-class storytelling.

With his life slowly falling apart, the Federal Air Marshal, Bill Marks, takes a non-stop transatlantic flight from New York City to London.
