It's full of emotion and drama, and driven by human interaction. I have never forgotten this movie and I am going to chase down my own copy. The former parish priest, Father Andrew Bieniawski, was rumored to be having an affair with Sr. Janina and of being the father of her unborn child. This movie from the 1980s has a great script with a powerful ending. Dick Van Dyke, Kathleen Quinlan, Beau Bridges. The play does not preach at its audience. The scene between Sister Rita and Father Rivend at the end is charged with so many emotions; I'd love to see this play on stage.
