Avoid! From reception to the room just to looking out on the courtyard to having tea and then breakfast. The hotel is a converted caravanserai and is a beautiful double storeyed complex built around a central courtyard. Located in the center of town this heritage hotel is at the former centuries-old caravan site for the travelers during the silk road period. The electrics looked dodgy.
It is a ancient historical building converted into a hotel....the hotel rooms are dark ,dump....needs renovation specially bathrooms....enjoyed good view of courtyard while having breakfast....it is conveniently located with walking distance to Sheki palace....Staff is friendly & cooperative. Very nice place to stay, with a lot of history, fantastic setting. What a truly terrible experience! The room was pretty old-fashioned: creaky single beds, tacky furniture, television that didn't work, and a pervasive smell of smoke. On one side of the room a single wardrobe had no rail or hangers, but a similar one with three hangers stood on the other side. The bathroom was foul - the handle fell off the shower. We love the people personality and their generous, and we enjoyed the Sheki's nature.

If you are used to five, I had a terrible time booking a room at the Caravansaray Hotel. Hotel room is clean and nice and comfortable. But I showed up anyway, and after much insisting, they finally found me a room. At least for the next month or so they are also re-cobbling the main street on one side of the hotel, so beware of early morning noise. I would say, this is the overnight stop, when travelling from Baku to Georgia or vice versa.
