I feel it is a little aesthete, or at least unethical of me to somehow prioritize the potential drama of the situation over both its actual unfolding and the optimism it carries core, but take that more as an indication of the gloaming atmosphere so effectively rendered early on rather than a rejection of the Lockwood’s mission.
