Gervais now seems adrift in some kind of sub, sub, sub Richard Curtis land, where character, mood and plot are simply thrown out the window and to hell with it.
He runs across a childhood friend, Julie, his boss's daughter who's engaged to the firm's top seller. For me though, what made this movie stay with me was the soundtrack by Tim Atack.
Once I heard about this movie about a year ago I was excited to see it, it being Gervais and Merchant's first film outing as a team.
